The older one is probably higher on the pecking order so that is whh the older one is doing better

Ok...so i watched them out the window for an hour...they have never been in the same coop...ALTHOUGH....they can see each other...the were violently pecking and kicking at the chicken wire...i believe the hurt themselves...i put up a wood divider on one side of the old roosters coop and they can no longer see each other and they haven't had any issues since....crazy roos

It does look like fight wounds. It would be good if you kept the nicer roo (kinder to people & Hens) and ditched the other.
