I had this same thing happen! Totally sure she was a pullet, then, I swear over the course of a day, out came the tail feathers, the pointy saddle feathers and the CROW.I know how that goes. I had a buff orp that was a girl, even had my bantam cockerel making the moves on her. Then one day she turned into a boy! I had no idea. I had 2 other boys that were obvious early on.. but my buff was supposed to be a girl b/c the store said the 'only get girls'. I was in denial up until he started crowing at almost 20 weeks.
