Can any one help me? Found this in my hen house this morning! I do have 3 ducks ( one a drake) that go in too! So could be either hen or duck related . It wasn’t in a nest box so I’m now thinking it could be duck related! It was covered in a slimy membrane and stunk! I’ve never seen anything like this before! Hens are laying but I’ve only had the ducks a few months and are not laying! Everyone appears normal and non are sitting soft or out of sorts! Be grateful for any feed back, it’s left me feeling quiet naucious

every once in a while chicken's 'egg factory' fouls up. Something skips in the production line or sits in an area too long, or goes too fast. As a result, sometimes chickens will lay double yokers, or have spotty, barely colored eggs. Sometimes they just come out all screwed up, like this. Unless it happens regularly, I wouldn't be concerned.

That is one of the biggest lash eggs I've ever seen here. Great pics BTW.
It’s grim
Indeed it is.

View attachment 1202644 This is not a lash egg. I call it a what the heck egg. I thought Ild share. The lash egg egg is an indication of an infection. This episode is not.
Actually I think it is, they can end up inside of eggs.

Always good to take multiple pics, with something for scale, like a quarter (or your hand), then do some dissection and take more pics.
