Anyone know what this is?
Some sort of fruit?

By the way, osage oranges aren't good to eat, tho wildlife like squirrels will eat them. The thorny trees were planted as living fences in the 19th century. The wood is extremely hard, great for long lasting fenceposts, and absolutely beautiful for woodworking. The color is a lovely yellow that ages to golden brown. I'm not sure of the extent of the range, but my sister has seen them in VA.
My DH is a woodturner and makes bowls of the wood. And we use it for firewood too.
