What is this?

All i got that was an obscure old timey tool I sold with the wagons my parents tasked me with selling. I can't even find a picture of it online really, It's called a felloe trough. If I had thought to take a picture of it i could have stumped you guys for a long time with it. It looks like a semi circular iron trough on little feet to keep it upright. You boil linseed oil and pour it very hot inside the trough and then run your wooden wagon wheels through the linseed oil in the round bottomed trough to give your wheels a good soaking . You must make sure the oil runs along the spokes as you turn the wheel through the felloe trough to condition your wood. In montana, our climate is very dry so oiling your wheels regular was a must or your spokes would get wobbly and your wood could shrink and warp. There was already some problems with weathering because of the difference from summer to winter.

I should have let that go a while and seeing if any of the youngins could get it.
