What is this???

I'm not quite sure, because I don't really know what's wrong with her yet.. is there any other information you can give us?
A few months ago it seemed that she had an egg rupture inside of her maybe? I thought we were going to loose her, she had all yellowish caught in her fur, so we cleaned her all up & she recovered. Since then we see her trying to roost but nothing comes out. When an egg does come out about 1-2/month the shell is very soft & we end up having to discard it. We give her calcium & we did soak her in a bath of Epson salt. I am pretty sure I felt an egg kinda like I’m her right hind leg area. She does not walk like a penguin tho, she eats normally. Her top back feathers also are discoloured & have been for awhile. Like whitish on them, my other RIR don’t have that. So I am not sure. Today she went to roost & only a thick clear white came out.

ok, sounds like she got eggbound, and has been having complications every since... What do you mean trying to roost? Roosting is when they sleep on a bar... Do you mean laying?

Aw, that stinks! Where are you located?

I took a chicken to the vet, it was $80 (you wouldn't believe the people that made fun of me!). They gave me antibiotics to put in their water. I know you can get some types of antibiotics at Tractor Supply, but I am new to chickens & wasn't comfortable with that - I'm not big on throwing antibiotics around willy nilly. There are others much more knowledgeable about that around here, but try searching here for Tylan & you can find the dosing info if you're willing to do it yourself.

That is very likely a 'lash egg'(congealed pus)from a reproductive tract infection.
With all the trouble she's had, I'd cull her....but my birds are not pets.
Finding the right antibiotic would be tough, and the chances of an AB taking care of this are slim. Best of cLuck.
