one of my silkie hens recently had chicks, shes taking care of 6 and the other hen was sitting on her eggs but when they hatched she didnt take care of them. i took them in and both are eating and drinking but one hasnt perked up like the other. its a bit weaker, and wobbly. i noticed this hay looking strand attached to its backside and thought it was just stuck to its fuzz, but as i pulled on it more i realized its pulling this fleshy string too. its not coming from the anus, its below it an inch or two. what is it? of all the thing i know of chickens, this isnt one of them. im concerned to pull any more but i also dont want to leave it there if its bad. i couldnt get the best picture
