Anyone know what this is? I just noticed it, the one of her other foot doesn’t look like this, usually they’re small little bumps. It’s hard like a nail

Hello!

Yep, that’s a ‘spur’. Usually females don’t get them, but occasionally they will grow shorter spurs from their spur buds. It’s completely normal and nothing to worry about :)

I thought that was only common in Roosters?
Typically it is. Sometimes though, for whatever reason, some hens just develop full-blown spurs instead of just having spur buds like usual. I had a hen with spurs, and I also have hens with spur buds that are more pronounced and prominent than some others. :)
