What is this?

She has a scab and looks like a healing gash.

I'd clean the area with Chlorhexidine, trim the feathers away from the scabs and get a better look at it.
Triple antibiotic ointment can be applied to the scabs if necessary.

Is her crop emptying overnight?

Thanks for the advice, we will trim her feathers and apply wound spray and the antibiotics.

Not sure if she is emptying her crop or not, that side is swollen so it is hard to tell.
 
In the photos it looks like the injuries are on the left side, is the right side where the crop is swollen too?
We trimmed her feathers. This is what her chest looks like. The other side is not swollen.

There's no way to know. Possible?
Usually, rats will focus on food or eggs. They will however attack/kill small/baby chicks, but I wouldn't totally discount it.
Thank you for all your help. Unfortunately, she passed away a few days ago. I appreciate all of your help, it meant a lot.
