This is the second time I’m posting on about my hen Pickles. I’m desperate for help since I can’t take her to the vet. She has a swollen right foot and no it’s not bumble foot. At first I thought it might be Gout but wouldn’t both legs be equally swollen? I’m so confused 😕 and there’s almost no information on chicken gout online so I’m losing my mind. A vet would be too expensive I guess they can give them medicine for it. I’m giving her tart cherry and keeping her isolated but idk what else to do. She’s been isolated over a week now. She’s doesn’t want to walk on it very much. The night time picture is what her feet looked like over two weeks ago more swollen so maybe it’s getting better I’m not sure maybe I’m going crazy?

Do either of her hock joints look swollen? Mycoplasma synovitis can cause swollen ankles and hock joints. She could also have injured the foot. Can you place her back with her flock in her crate? It might be hard to reintegrate her back with her flock if she is kept away from them longer. Gout usually causes swollen lumpy toes but does not cause the joint swelling in the hock or ankles. Here is some info on gout:
