Did you happen to see her rooster?

The only roo I saw there was the BR that I bought from her along with 4 hens and a Silver Laced Wyandotte. She had a number of buff orps but I didn't see any roos but there may have been one somewhere. I did not see a SLW hen.

Crazy.

The more mine feather in, the more I think they are wyandottes, just really poor representations of the breed. All the feathers coming in are barred or laced black and white. No red. I think one is a roo, it has obvious wattles already.

With mine the feathers are coming in silver barred. There are three of them and they all look the same. I am going to keep them and see what happens. I need a few more layers for eating eggs anyways.. I think two of them are pullets and one is cockerel. Can't wait to see what happens. I will try to remember to update on them with pics

I crossed my BR Rooster with my Buff Orpingtons last yr and they gave barred males that had golden heads when they got older and black females but none of them had chipmunk markings like your chick.

I crossed my Buff Orpington Roo with my Black Australorp hen and got what I call Cheata girls they are red all over with black dots.
No Chipmunk markings.

Now when I cross the RIR girls with the other roosters I always end up with chipmunk markings.
