what is this?

Alright then

thank you so much! Will this interfear with the medicated feed? Because the 4 other chicks will obviously drink the same water.
Chickens, so darn complicated at time.. Lol.
It's okay. The other chickens also need Baytox to prevent Cocci, but just be sure to give more Baytox to the sick one.
0.5ml/1L sol to prevent Cocci, 1ml/1L to treat Cocci.

I don't think it is cocci though, it just doesn't feel right. I've had to treat it before and it wasn't like this, before even as a new chicken owner, I was able to spot the signs and treat, this.. is different. If you had only seen the picture of her dried bum feathers, would you have said cocci? Or something else? I dont want to treat all 5 chickens for a maybe, and undo anything the medicated feed has done and leave them all unprotected against it in the future.

How does the chicken do now? Any better?
Does she show any respiratory symptoms?
Does her comb or leg look pale?

btw, the toxicity of Baytox is very low(probably as low as Corid) .
I would treat it as Cocci until I can get a better diagnosis.

Bless

Treating for Coccidiosis will not hamper the medicated feed in any way. Different strains of Coccidia show up as different symptoms. The Corid or Baytox will not hurt your chickens in any way and may save their lives. Of course, it is up to you.

As a side note, medicated feed only helps in the prevention of Coccidiosis. It does not stop them from getting infected. In times of a high oocyst load, chickens will become infected with or without medicated feed.

I would agree with leadwolf. Just try Baytox.
If it's Cocci, then fine. If not, it will not hurt it anyway.

Have you started treatment yet? If not, please do so. Keep her clean and dry. Make sure that she is eating and drinking. We can only give you the advice that we would use in our own flocks. I would treat for Coccidiosis. If you don't, and she has it, she will die and possibly so will others. If she doesn't have it and you treat everyone, there is no harm done. Corid is the same medication that is found in medicated feed. It will not cause any harm or problems with your chickens while they are eating the medicated feed. Please treat the little ones.
