I noticed that my 6 month old silkie had a scab on her left shoulder a few days ago. I thought it was from establishing pecking order (new chicken owner) the next day I noticed she was missing feathers and had scabs under her right wing. At the same time I noticed that she was limping (no bumblefoot) and has swelling at hock joint. I isolated her because of her leg and now the scabs are almost completely gone. No new feathers are missing. Do you think the other chickens were picking on her or is it mites?
