What is vent gleek. Does my chicken have this.

she has opaque white pasty goop that appears to come from the vent then oozes down her hind end. It is not dripping off, just sticks to her hind end. Her poops are normal. She eats, lays an egg every day, seems find except for white goop. She has been kept away from flock for 3 weeks, and no improvement.

Without a photo, it is hard to know, but the cheesy white goop sticking to her back side could very well be vent gleet.

Vent Gleet is a yeast overgrowth. You will need to get her egg duct back into balance or she could get extreme inflammation that can cause peritonitis.

Milder cases can be cured with Apple Cider Vinegar, yogurt, and Tinactin spray or any of the over the counter yeast creams.

More advanced cases take oral med, such as Nystatin which must be prescribed by a Vet.

If I remember correctly, I think copper sulfate also helps with yeast overgrowth. You can get poultry powder to place in the drinking water.
