i only used my cell phone for my hubby n daughter , i text my daughter because she goes to movies, music concerts and i can talk to her that way on her phones is always on vibre. plus i can track her on the road too.but we do talk on the phone too
my hubby likes it when i leave the house because of car problem or forget to tell to pick something up in town.

i am handicapped so he feel relief when i am out to have the phone on me.
ps my cellphone number is private only my hubby n daughter have it

when i am out my hubby n dd calls me. and when i know my dd at the place then i text her and while she is driving i call her we have /wear ear pieces

I text. But not too often.

Texting for me is purely about content. I send and receive information. Far too impersonal (even with smiley faces and your actions/opinions in stars *Sigh*) for me to handle constantly. I'd rather call you and hear the tone of your voice instead of texting, and I'd rather meet you face to face instead of a phone call. Everyone loves their bubble, and don't get me wrong, I love to be all alone and unreachable, but we've become far too technology focused when it comes to connection, if you ask me.

Takes about 2 seconds to type out "I'm at the fort" and send that text vs calling, waiting for connection, ring, then answer, to just say "at the fort", and even long if for some reason they don't answer and have to call back. Most text worthy things are fast. Especially when you can text without looking at keys. LOL

I, for one, waited alone for two hours outside the school when band practice was cancelled, because neither of my parents could be reached at home or work.

I like having my kids on an electronic leash. I like sending my husband a quick text to say "buy milk" on his way home from work.

People's manners may be lacking, but the technology is useful.
