What is wrong with my chickens?

Our flock of six (all of them 8.5 months old) is acting kind of strange. One of them looks like they are molting around the neck (looks scrawny and can feel pin feathers. Several of them look smaller than usual. I am finding feathers from several of them in the coop. I went and bought them some feather fixer feed today thinking they might benefit from the extra protein and fat. I made them a mash with it and they aren’t interested in it. They also aren’t interested in the greens/cranberries I gave them earlier which they usually love. As I observe them they seem active and don’t act sick. We also did just come off of a cold snap with -35 wind chills. I’m giving them nutri-drench and plan to give them some apple cider vinegar as well. Any thoughts on what might be going on with them and what I can do about it?

It was my understanding that chickens don’t really molt until there are about 18 months old? And usually in the fall?

Chickens don't follow 'the rules', I have a few born in may that are molting too.
