So hay all the time with fresh grass and no goat feed? Or goat feed only at night?

I only give grain to does in milk, because they need the extra calories. Too much grain can cause issues with the balance of calcium and phosphorus. That can lead to issues like urinary calculi and goat polio. But you don't want to cut off grain feeding too fast either. Just cut back a little at a time. Of course this all depends on how much you are actually giving them. My bucks don't get any grain but do sometimes get a little treat of BOSS, maybe 1/2 cup each.

Don't forget that ND are year round breeders. If he breeds them now the does will have kids again as early as September.

You can treat them with the grain but definitely cut back now that on fresh grass.
