Intersex chickens? Wow. How rare is that?Not sure… there are such things as intersex chickens though. Maybe he’s a late bloomer.
How do you identify that?Not as rare as one would think.
Oh - and our 4 month old Cockerel wing dances, brings it food, and sometimes tries to mount it. This bird is 7 months old and larger. Looking at intersex, they are like half and half. This one is not. It's definitely a confusing bird. I still think male, but David doesn't. If we don't have a definite answer soon, then we will get a DNA test kit ($12). Either way, it won't be a bird I'll be breeding. It backed down from 9 week old chicks when it was 6 months old. My goal right now is to determine why it doesn't feel well.Not as rare as one would think.
