What is wrong with this egg/chicken?

We are new to backyard chickens and this is a first. What caused this and could there be something wrong with the chicken? She appears to be healthy.

Is the hen who laid it very young?

Sometimes new layers have odd eggs for a while before they settle down.

If it is just a one-off, you can chalk it up to a glitch in the system. If it continues it could be a sign of a health problem or malfunction in the egg-production system.
