What is wrong with this egg? Have you ever seen this?

Is it leathery? How old is the bird that laid it? What is the feed that you use? Sorry for the questions but this info will help determine what's going on.

Wrinkled eggs like yours are not uncommon, and aren't usually much to worry about as long as they don't happen regularly. An egg gets wrinkled if it breaks in the hens reproductive tract before it is laid. When that happens, more calcium is deposited to seal the break, creating lines. Some causes can be a calcium deficiency or infectious bronchitis, or sometimes it just happens for not real reason.

The texture seems to be the same as the other eggs. It was just layed this morning. I am not sure which chicken layed it. We have six mature hens and twelve young ones. When I checked the boxes this morning it was there. We also have 9 - 10 differnet breeds. They get chicken pellets, scratch, oyster shell, cherry stone grit. For treats they get greens, cucumber, tomato, fruit, yogurt, and bananas.

I do feed them oyster shell. What else could it be?
It could be just a deformity. We have about 1,000 chickens and we get about 5 that look like that a day. Nothing is wrong. It should also be fine for eating. Or you could crack it open and look inside for anything but I doubt you will find anything.
I hope I helped!

If you can give them egg shell, that's what I have to do because my hens don't like the oyster shell. Just throw out the shell or you can mash it up. The mashing up might be the best so than they don't think they can eat their own eggs.

Have you tried mixing it in their food? My chickens don't like it either but if you mix it they will peck it.
