In that case I would just order 8 or so of the blue laces. That way your blue odds are good, and you're still likely to get blacks.Phew that I'm definitely okay with! It's mostly for fun with the kiddo but I may eventually convince hubby to let me do a small scale hatchery in a few years.
Easy reference, I love it thank you! I have it written out on a sticky note on my white board currently![]()
Unfortunately we will be at 33 chickens with this order and our coop will be close to max. I'm looking into a shop building that can be converted into 1/2 shop 1/2 coop for next summer improvement. Our current coop I can't walk into and it drives me crazy doing gymnastics to get in the chicken door. Then I will have more room to do more chickens! We have two Blue laced already so that puts our blue count at 5 pullets and 1 roo. I hear Cackle sometimes throws in extra chicks so I've got fingers crossed for an extra blue.In that case I would just order 8 or so of the blue laces. Oh, no I meant instead of ordering black laces and blue laces, just order blue laces in the combined amountUnfortunately we will be at 33 chickens with this order and our coop will be close to max. Murray McMurray offers a free random chick on orders, I think a few other hatcheries do too. It's usually a boy but by my last freebie was a Dark Brahma Roosevelt, he was a good fellow. You can get a free chick?!
