I can't pick! Too many good ones... so from the top of my head I have to say favorite movie: The Last of the Mohicans - the one from the 90's but I also liked Gladiator, and anything from the 30's and 40's last night I watched Stagedoor with Kate Hepburn and Ginger Rogers - classic.

The one book I'm picking today is The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. Tomorrow I'll think of a million of them I could have chosen!

Ahhh, I'm a self-proclaimed bibliophile so this is hard! I'm a huge, huge lover of Ayn Rand, The Fountainhead possibly being my all time favourite (go MayberrySaint!!). I enjoy a somewhat strange variety of books, anywhere from Harry Potter to Tolstoy. I find that I tend to go with the weather! Light-hearted and fun in the summer, deeper and thought provoking in the winter.

Movie: too many to name, but since I've just rewatched it, I'll say Pan's Labyrinth. What an amazing film.

Star wars - Movie
Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy's - Book (havent read it in 20 years and the movie sucked).

My all time favorite book is Beauty by Robin McKinley, but I'd have to say the very close runners up are George RR Martin's Books.. I forget what the name of the series is off-hand, but the last one he put out is A Feast For Crows. That and FitzChivalry Farseer series by Robin Hobb. <All fantasy novels, btw>. The last two series are not to be missed, and the first book I listed I've probably read.. oh, 15x

As for movies.. that's a harder one. I think my favorite was A Perfect World with Kevin Costner.. makes me cry every time.

And I agree, what the heck was up with that Hitchhiker's guide movie?? The book was funny and clever.. the movie was just plain odd.
