What is your fav book/Movie?

Movies:
As you get older, there are so many to choose from.

There's also the CRS that makes you forget so many when yer tryin' to list 'em in this post!

I like Adventure movies and Historical movies... some Comedys, some Mysteries, and some Sci-Fi - but titles are spordadic in my brain cause so many in recent years are tacky or dumb. I can't stand lame Sci-Fi, sappy "girly" romances, or slasher films.

Books:
Vince Flynn's 'Mitch Rapp' series
James Patterson's 'Alex Cross' series
Anne McCaffery's 'Dragonriders of Pern' series
Kathleen O'Neal Gear & W. Michael Gear's 'First North Americans' and 'Anasazi Mysteries' series

Favorite movie The Shipping News. It's about hardship and redemption. Julieanne Moore and Kevin Spacey. Beautiful movie.

Favorite book Coyote Blue. Zany funny grab at life. by christopher moore (quick read)

I could talk about movies all day. So you like action, laughs, incredible fx, and an utilmate sacrifice. Hmm. The Mummy movies with Branndon Fraiser? How about that under water one- The Abyss. probably not enough laughs. How about the Gost Rider with Nick Cage? I know, I know but it's not that bad-it's not good, but it fits in same category as Armaggedon in my book, and is entertaining if you are not too serious.

I am not picky about my movies I watch about everything but movies like hellraiser. I get too scared. Pan's Labyrinth is beautifully done and dark.

interesting topic

I loved Dead Man (Johnny Depp), 12 Angry Men, Princess Bride, and Amelie.

Good to see so many votes for To Kill A Mockingbird. One of the very few times that Hollywood did it correctly.

Interesting that one person would choose both the Borat movie and Where the Red Fern Grows. I remember where I was when I finished reading it for the first time and sat there crying. I was a 12 year-old boy and realized then and there how powerful books were.

I read a lot of history - it's my profession, so I have to. I like biography and enjoy the Harry Potter books.

I also like the Winds of War and War and Remembrance books and mini-series.

I can't choose just one of each and I could go on and on, but I'll stop now.

FAvorite book- the Left behind series.

Movies- Comedies,- Pirates of the caribean, Hitch, Dreamer, Seabiscuit, And second hand lions.

I still think Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen was the beset book I've read in a long time. That's my fiction choice.
Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver is my non-fiction choice.

Movies: The Fifth Element, My Favorite Year, Steel Magnolias. I can watch those over and over again!

Fav book: probably "Fallen Angels" by Walter Dean Myers

Fav Movies: Ladyhawke...I know it's weird, but I really just love it! And "In Love and War".
