What is your favorite chicken breed??

Barnvelders. Lovely terra cotta eggs in a decent amount. Nice temperament. Usually very sweet roosters. Long living. Started with a nice rooster and slowly line bred red layers to create utility Barnies. Love that line.

No, I like anything bantam. Bantams are so cute!!!!
I'm incubating Cochin bantams now, and have a Bantam Silkie, and two OEGB's in the brooder. They're so tiny!

I have multiple favorites. The best breed I've ever owned was the Japanese bantam, Black Copper Marans and Buff Orpington.
One breed I absolutely love but have never owned is the Serama. They are the smallest breed of chicken and the roosters are supposedly friendly.
