What is your favorite hatchery?

I have ordered LOTS of chicks over the years and my first choice is Cackle Hatchery and my second choice is Ideal. Customer service is great at both places, prices are good, and always very healthy strong chicks that arrive is wonderful shape.

but he calls his place "Chick Hatchery", so I was really just sneaking into this thread on that technicality. Have you ordered from him? I'm getting nervous reading these stories of dead chicks.

One thing I find a huge fault on people's judgements on normal hatcheries is basing how good they are on how many chicks they received alive. . . People, that is about location and weather during shipment, not health of the hatchery's stock.

my fave hatchery is Eagle Nest in Oecola, Ohio. IF they have the breeds you want. I'm close enough to get them next morning after they've been shipped.
