Latching the coop at night, because my four red hens are utterly silent until they know it is me and then they make peaceful baby - like sounds as if to day everything is all right now.
What is your favorite time with hens

Mornings. I take a cup of coffee and the compost bucket out with me, and we put on their coop radio and listen to NPR while we have our coffee and kitchen scraps together.
I enjoy working in the garden while the flock free ranges.
