My black australorp is my favorite, she doesn't mind being picked up, and seems to like people.
My orpington and GLW do not really like us, the orpington squawks when she gets picked up but she doesn't squabble much, the GLW flaps a lot whenever you pick her up, and shes harder to keep a hold of but she doesn't make much noise. I don't know why they are like that, we tried to hold them-not too much- but so that they would at least not mind being picked up or run when we walk by.

I love Silkies;
Breeder quality, Hatchery qaulity. all silkies. they make for the sweetest roosters the gentalist of mothers and the best pets, with one of the largist color varities that ive ever seen.there so sweet and cuddley-I grew up with silkies (by choice)

and some things never change.
