It sure is. Anybody care to guess what color copper burns?

Green?

Copper burns green, and so does barium, oddly enough. Although while copper is more a pronounced green, barium is sort of yellow-ish and harder to detect. Anyone ever watched strontium burn? What a striking shade of scarlet. That was one of the more exciting practicals in Chemistry.
