What is YOUR persimmon forcast?

some of ours have 2 spoons in them...

I heard some older gentlemen talking at the sale barn last Saturday about it, said the last time they saw two spoons was in the 50's. Guess there was a major snowstorm and it literally lasted months.

like last winter wasn't bad enough?

Anyone in Texas have a persimmon forecast?..

i don't have any persimmons and would love to get some .. but I know it would be a few years before they would be of fruit bearing age

It took me until today to go out to the persimmon tree and get one that hasn't already fallen off to be eaten by wildlife. So, I split the persimmon seed in half, was that right? Here is the picture, I take it the one on the right is a spoon? right? I had never heard of this until this post.

My dad, grandfather and I split some a few weeks ago and they were all spoons.

My family has always used this and the wooly worms to predict the forecast. Usually they are correct.
