i would of eaten her just so her death wasnt just a total waste.things happen for a reason, maybe her reason was to show you that some good can come from what we at first see as a bad.i would think it would bring joy to her to know she could at least give your family a good meal and bring some joy to a tragic accident..

Tell her spirit that it was merely an accident, even though she is gone, her spirit will still linger for at least 24 more hours. Then she will go to the light and find rest.

I agree with her. I would never eat one of my chickens. They are my best friends :/
