What killed 6 chickens in 30 minutes

I didn't think coyotes were very active near people during the day? The way all the feathers are out in the open makes me think hawks but the fact that six full grown hens have disappeared and the trail of feathers makes me inclined to think it was dogs and more than one. Do your neighbors have dogs?
 
This was likely a "pack". My first thought for during the day is fox with pups. 6 is quite a few so possibly a young coyote pack. The feather mess points to inexperience, but domestic animals would have left bodies behind.
 
The dogs in the neighborhood are all very small. Like coockapoos. We live in the middle of the woods
