What killed my duck?

Okay I will have to do it tomorrow because it's down at the creek they're down at the creek I'll have to walk down there tomorrow hopefully there they will all be there
Be sure to clean up the body and any blood around it. Make sure Myrtle and your other birds are safe. I would suggest keeping them locked up in the pen until you can be sure that the predator is gone.

I have not seen sequence involving vultures and hawks. Vulture action I have recorded had Turkey Vultures, American Crows and my dogs.

Those are the same buzzards. Sorry, country trapper haha. We don’t have many crows around here for some reason. All over the cornfields though. I’m backwoods area.

As a fowl guy pointed out weasels eat similar but they aren’t as neat and clean with their kills. They don’t pluck near as much of the feathers off as a bird of prey does. And a larger animal would have carried the carcass off. But in my opinion it was a bird of prey. But no matter what it was it sucks and I’m sorry for your loss. Back in December I had a roof collapsed on my coop due to snow and of course most of the chickens that were lost were the friendliest ones I had. It’s a terrible feeling.

Consumption amount too much for even a Red-tailed Hawk or Great-horned Owl in one day.
