Maybe another dominant rooster who's been bred with fighter genes escaped it's pen and went to hung out with all them feral chickens you Hawaiian's have over there and decided to claim his territory. He snuck into your yard, squared up against your untrained with no fighter gene rooster and quickly dispatched him via a powerful kick to your chicken's neck causing him to collapse and twitched for a few seconds before expiring. That happens sometimes in fighting birds, broken neck by a powerful kick!

Lol. If that was for real, my rooster did have fighting genes. I had him free ranging and he fatally injured my other rooster a couple months back. He’s been either in the coop or tethered since.
