Sorry what I mean is that with people who just use a tub or kiddie pool, they can easily see if something is in the water (in case some snapper comes to live there).
But yes, for daytime predators, we never know when a passing eagle or hawk will swoop down. The ducks just have to take that kind of risk just doing free-roaming.
