What kills brown recluse spiders?

Lysol disinfectant spray or hair spray will kill a lot of critters, no match needed. I had a car get infested with ants once; one round of Lysol did it. I usually use hair spray in the house on spiders or other things hard to reach or catch. They're not really nontoxic but I figure they're a lot less evil than Raid type products.

I would totally call an exterminator. I am not one for using chemicals, but a brown recluse spider can be very aggressive and are dangerous. Widows will usually hang out in their space and leave you alone unless you unknowingly frighten them. Brown recluses are different.

We had an infestation in TN, they were in the house. I even found some by my son's toys (he was a baby at the time). I had one crawl across me when I was in bed, yikes! There was a nest that hatched, babies were coming down from the ceiling. That was a terrifying situation. While waiting for the exterminator and for a few days after the bomb was set off, we stayed at my IL's house. It was a special, very costly bomb they had to use, and I'm sure extremely nasty. But, it worked perfectly. After the bombing, we kept the sticky traps out to see if we had any left. They aren't a really effective means of control, we found, if you currently have an infestation. But, they will alert you to a problem.

Again, I wouldn't use chemicals lightly, but recluses are a special case.

LIZARDS WORK WELL ON SPIDERS, EXCEPT THEY SCARE THE HELL OUT OF YOU AT NIGHT.

I would just google image it, be aware that you will see some horrid pictures of bites. They are a brown spider with a fiddle shape along their back, sometimes known as a "brown fiddle back".

Yeah, i took care of a guy in a nursing home that got bit by one. Ouch! What a nasty wound he had!

I am not one to be creeped out by many creatures, but brown recluse give me the willies! I knew a young woman with a bite when we lived in TN, even with treatment it was horrible.
