What kind are these quail please. I was told they are french and do they look like males.

It does look like a golden coturnix...a female with the spotty chest, I think.

Female golden coturnix, you can tell it's female by the spots on her breast. They are actually chinese, not french

Yes female, males at that age have darker throats and breast. Golden coturnix
