What kind is she?

She was left by the previous tenants and is now mine, and is laying a medium tinted large sized brown egg. I did pen her up in the coop, becuase I was afraid something would get her, she's not happy but the soonest I can get her a friend is this weekend.

She's a Golden Comet. They're a hybrid chicken that are great layers. Mine were always the friendliest girls, too! Congrats!

She's fine from a distance from us, and today she seemed depressed (if a chicken can get depressed) and was jsut laying in a corner of the coop, but this was the 1st day to be penned up, but she'd drank quite a bit of water and ate some of her feed, but if we get close she starts this cackle cackle talk to us and starts looking for a way out. Reminds me of a person that is in a corner and is talking big to hopefully get the ones that have them in teh corner to go on.
