I'm an oranmental bird person. It's something about them being wild, their color, and their calls that make me love them. My order would be oranmental waterfowl, pheasants, grouse, francolins, peafowl, partdrige, and others. I also love parrots, though I don't have one., chickens would come after that.

that sounds cute. i keep hearing neat things about rabbits but my experience with them is that they eat and poop and simply tolerate being held. maybe i'm just not good at reading "rabbit language"

I have a house bunny who is boxed trained as well. It's true that mine only tolerates being held, unless I get real relaxed and she falls asleep in my lap, then she enjoys it. But it's more her antics that are entertaining, she does far more than eat and poop! I've taught her a few tricks, so she rings a bell in her cage when she wants hay, she stands and begs on command for a slice of apple, and watching her terrorize the cats is priceless. She also gets excited sometimes and runs in crazy circles around the dining room table, or races back and forth, stuff like that. Bunnies are very entertaining! But again, that's a trained house bunny, as opposed to a rabbit outside in a cage all the time with no real life to enjoy.

i want meat rabbits but i want to build a fully fenced in area with the fencing burried into the ground so they can actually graze. it will be lot of work but I think the rabbits will be better off for it.

I like pretty much all of them. What ever happens to be next to me at any given time gets special attention. It doesn't matter whose animal it is or how bad they are supposed to be, they never give me any trouble. I can't walk for tripping over critters. My DH says its because I smell bad.

Pinky gets to graze too! I have a portable playpen that I originally used for my guinea pig, but now the bunny has inherited it. I bring her out, plop her in it and she can run around, get sun and graze.

Horse, Dog, Cat. Horses are my favorite

For me, it's all birds, then rabbits/cats. That's a tie, since I just discovered how awesome bunnies are. I am in love. Because of an FIP outbreak, I can't have a cat til next April. These rabbits make my day. Soooooo stinkin funny!!!!
