The black one is the one that I'm most "iffy" about because of his "blackness". Japanese Bantams, from what I've read, are supposed to have red combs & lobes and yellow beaks, feet & legs. Mine has black beak, comb, lobes, legs, feet, & toes. I know he's only a couple of weeks old, but this little guy just doesn't seem to fit the bill (but I'm a novice).
The light colored one I'm not as unsure of. It seems to have more black in the wings than the other JB's that I've seen. This one was white at a few days old, so I'm guessing it's supposed to be a BTW (but again, I'm a novice).
If they are actually JB's then fantastic. If they aren't, then they are still the cutest, sweetest, most mellow little things ever! My 5 year old (& secretly DH) is absolutely in love with them. She borrowed her sister's dollhouse to put in their brooder & she just dotes on them. My husband is actually going to build them their own coop in the YARD - of his own free will...I didn't have to beg, cajole, or plead
Thanks for your info
