What kind of bugs are these?

Hi all!!! I found these bugs a couple months back on the floor of my chicken run and on the outside of my chicken house. Just a few like 5 to 10. I sprayed with some oil solution and they seem to be gone. Until I was cleaning out the chicken house again a couple days ago. Again just a couple on the floor of the chicken coop and on the outside of the house. Also these winded bugs are always with them. I don’t know if it’s related or not. I don’t think they’re red chicken mites? I always find them during the day. And never have found anything under the roasts at night. They aren’t on my chickens either. At least not that I can find. I would really like to know what they are though. I treated the coop with the oil solution again. Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi
They look like either bird lice or poultry mites. I had two geese years ago that picked up the lice. They looked just like that. Also a rescued Osprey when I did bird rescue that came with her case of them. I haven't had to deal with the little darlings 🤬 for years so I'm not up on the latest treatments. I'm sure someone here will have some great advice though.

Also what I used on the Osprey and the geese was olive oil and gloves for the lousy lice. The Osprey was quite an experience 🤣

So a little update. They are coming from the soil by my chicken coop again and then crawling up the leg of my coop. Is that typical of mites?

Permethrin 10, Martins or Gordons, comes in pints, quarts, and larger containers and is mixed with water in a spray bottle or garden sprayer, for as little as $8 and up. The permethrin poultry dust may be preferred for treating chickens in cold weather. Mites require treating at 7 days intervals at least twice, and the coop, roost, and nests should also be sprayed once bedding is removed. Here are some pictures with links on red poultry mites:

Thank U!

Looks like poultry mites to me.

And these like some kind of gnats:

I think your right. I think they are Fungus gnats. I was researching red mites that live in the soil and found this. Because I tracked the little red bugs to the soil next to my chicken coop and they are crawling up one of the legs of my chicken coop. When I found these bugs a couple months ago it was with the fungus gnats again. So maybe this article that I found applies to my situation. what do u think? I hope so!

Interesting article, but even if this was the case with your mites and gnats, I would not allow them near my chicken coop and run.

Some years ago, here in one of our German chicken communities people came up with fighting poultry mites the 'natural way' by introducing 'beneficial' mites to their coops and leaving them alone for some month.

It did not work and sadly, some of the chickens paid the price.
