I just came home from the local farm store and of course, they have their chicks. (have had chicks for over a month now). They have some that came in that are called "rainbow chicks" (all pullets), which in other words; they are chicks left over at the hatchery, that they just grouped all breeds together and sent them.

What kind of breed is the chick white with one or two black spots on it?

Hard to tell without pictures, but last year a new hybrid was introduced as a Tetra Tint. They start out with that coloration, and are the darling of feed stores right now.

I was looking on Cackle website and they have a picture of California White chicks and they look exactly like the chicks I got. I am wondering if that is what I got.

sound like mine, I got 13 Austra Whites this year, mostly white with a few black spots. They are a black australorp and a white leghorn mix. They lay a white egg.

Also could be a tetra tint or california whites, but they are all similar.
