These are the latest 3 additions to our flock. They came straight off the farm. Any guess as to what kind of chicken they are? At least they are laying eggs!

They look like sexlinks, black, red, and gold. What color eggs do they lay?

Do you know which one lays what? You could atleast get a general idea of what their parents might have been. They can still be sexlinks, you can use lots of different colors/breeds.

Wellll my first guess would be the black one looks like a black sex link, and the red one looks like a rhode island red... but I'm seeing white ear spots, so I have no idea what they are. Nice healthy looking birds though. [IMG]

Quote:The black one laid the darkest egg, the red one the brown egg and the white one laid the white egg. They are also adjusting to being in a pen instead of the barn and having nesting boxes instead of just laying eggs on the floor.

I'm no expert but your black girl sure does look like a black copper marans to me! Looks like mine except for leg feathering and that would certainly explain the dark egg! Love my two!!! They are very chatty things! [IMG] No clue about the other two but congrats on your new additions!!!
