what kind of chicken is this? we are guessing that she might be a crossed breeds though. she is a small chicken all black with a teal tint to her feathers with this little puff on top of her head the is really no comb to speak of she has a great friendly personality very accepting of any new baby chicks that come in to the hen house not aggressive at all except at feeding time. she is the biggest thief on food I've very seen she will take it from the rooster to the baby chicks. she eats like a pig for a bird LOLOLOLOL

. but all in all she's really sweet.

My guess from your description is a Black Silkie. This is a usually bantam (small, as you described) breed that make excellent mothers. They are most known for their odd appearance, a little tuft of feathers on the top of their head.
