What kind of chicks are these?

Does Meyer Hatchery even have BCM? Far as I know, only one hatchery does. . . And, sadly to say, I doubt they will ever be as dark of egg layers as the BCM you get from backyard breeders.

Yes they do have BCM. I bought 7 pullets from them in June. They were hard to come by because they were sold out for the summer but I called every week for a couple of months to see if they had any extra hatches & finally one day they called & said someone had cancelled their order & did I want them. Not sure about if the eggs are as dark as those you'd get from a backyard breeder...I should post some pics & maybe someone can tell me. They look pretty dark to me with some being quite speckled. I also should post a bigger pic (not sure why that one didn't go bigger like the rest) of the 1st pair & maybe it would be easier to tell the breed.
