What kind of chicks are these?

It's hard to tell from the pics, but it has light yellow legs and pink feet, not that that matter much in a hatchery bird. Probably just a mix, like the Cornish mix above. Maybe its mom is a Speckled Sussex and it got lumped in with the other SS I ordered.

I would guess it was a silver leghorn, but those aren't listed on MPC's website!

No muffs, no beard, single comb, white/yellow legs. Mixed, probably. EE? I see absolutely no reason to suspect it's even part EE. It would at least have a pea, cushion, or cross comb if it were an EE. plus green or slate legs, not white or yellow. I have a few EE's (as well as true Ameraucanas) and love them. This chick is not an EE.

I think this guy is your speckled sussex. You other guy almost looks like a silver sussex maybe? Or a silver penciled something? Silver penciled rock? I'm not sure what dark cornish chicks look like though. Just a guess.

Maybe the speckled and silver Sussex got mix in the same cage, the color coming in looks like a silver roo, but that stripe makes no sense for a silver.

I guess it's a mystery! I'll post again in a few months and see what I've got going on then.
