Our TSC in Warsaw got chicks from Ideal, Mount Healthy and Privett this year. The guy we talked with knows quite abit about chickens because he used to work for the health department and checked out chicken farms. We stood and talked with him about chickens for awhile. this year they have had the usual pullet bin, assorted bantam straight run, golden-laced wyandottes sr, a production red pullets, the meat chickens (the white kind), Buff Orphington chicks, Roeun ducks, pekin ducks and the Tetra Tints chicks. They are careful to keep them separated but you get the occational customer with little kids picking them up and moving them to different bins when the workers are busy. The one in Alden also had str. run Brahma chickens. They have a clerk right there so no one can touch their chicks. The Batavia TSC has one manager that continually tries to have her employee keep the bins labeled properly with what the chicks are. But if the chicks come in when she is not there, who knows. Good luck picking out what you might want.
