WHAT KIND OF DANG CHICKENS ARE THESE ? (pic inside)

hi guys. first time chicken owner here. i have a black jap bantam and then i just aquired these red chickens.
anybody know what kind of chicken breed they are? and also will they lay decent eggs?

I think thoseare production reds and if they're not too old they should be good layers of brown eggs.

thankz for the replies. forgive my ignorance. i bought the black bantam and my father inlaw laughed at me and said that the dang chicken would lay the smallest egg ive ever seen.
so i got these. the owner said they are about1.5 yrs old. how much longer will the hens be productive? and also, is the commercial red a blend of rhode island red and others?

At that age they're probably getting ready to go into molt so eggs will probably be in short supply for awhile. They lay fewer eggs after the molt, but I still get 4 or so a week from my two year olds and they are huge--not double yolkers, that's more of a pullet thing, bet jumbo size.

How do ya differentiate between rhode islands, new hampshire's, and production reds?
