What kind of dog do you have?

GAHen, I love your website! We love the big dogs.

I keep checking the shelter, and rescue groups. I went to a swap over the weekend, and it was so hard to restrain myself!

Puppies were EVERYWHERE! I hate to get anything yet though, until Balto passes. I feel it wouldn't be fair to him.

This is a good thread--keep it coming!

thanks....I have put a lot of hard work into pet rescue over the years.
I have loved and been loved by MANY MANY K9's......My husband fought me alot along the way until he saw how many lives were touched. Not just dogs, but humans!
Let me know what you are looking for and I will keep a look out! I get stuff from all over the country.
I have also adopted dogs out from RI, to FL to Wisconsin, Texas and Colorado......
I think SD was as far west......I sent a Irish Wolfhound out there.......another GREAT BREED!

I've always loved wolfhounds! When I worked for a vet, I gave one a bath once--that was a trip!

An anatolian sounds like a great dog too, but they are so $$$$$$. Definately has to be a good pup that will grow up with the chickens! I'm not ruling anything out (YET!)

I've got 2 - 13 year old Shelties (afraid of the chickens), 1 - approx 7 year old Rough Collie (had to be taught the chickens aren't for chasing), 1 - 9 year old Bloodhound (kept barking until I came out to see what the problem was - a chicken was in his doghouse and he wanted it OUT) and 1 stray - part Lab(CANNOT be trusted around the chickens even when I'm there). They're all great dogs in their own special way.

Here are the Mastiff pups I am raising.
I have been a puppy raiser for this gentleman that shows his mastiffs.
He has many champions....he loves his dogs and takes great care of them.
I have bottle raised these babies......they are weaned a five weeks and eating a delicious gruel.......yummy!

Aren't they sweet!

We have a Great Pyrenees too. We got him specifically to keep predators away. Just his scent seems to be doing the trick. We love him too...best dog I've ever had.
