what kind of feed after starter food

Hi all,

What kind of food should we use after medicated starter feed. The girls are four months old. We were told to put them on a fine scratch for two months and then move to laying feed.
What's the difference between scratch and feed?
Do we use both at the same time?
Do we still use any medicated feed?

The information given you was not correct, I sorry to say.

You can continue to feed chick feed all the way to laying. You can feed a Starter/Grower. You can feed All Flock, or Flock Raiser. But scratch is a very incomplete mix of grains and does not supply a proper diet for your chickens to grow into their full potential.
