Hello I traded some guy several months ago for these 2 goslings. He told me they were African geese and think he was right. Can anyone tell me if I have a pair or which sex they are? I would love to know what I have. I'm starting to really like these geese. I just don't know anything about them.

Pics would be nice, but here is the African and Chinese goose thread maybe looking at pics will help you, and from what I understand the ganders have bigger knobs than the goose does, if that helps, but would love to see some pics. and Welcome to the goose thread.https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/533413/the-african-and-chinese-goose-thread

Hi Everyone, I am in need of identifying what type of geese I have. These 2 geese and the 1 duck were given to me by someone that was moving out of state. They have never seen a pond, just having a little tub to splash in, and are scared to stay on our pond. The people said that they had seen eggs but didn't know which one (or both) were laying and never saw any goslings. I am keeping my fingers crossed for what breed I'm hoping they are, but need more experienced goose people to help me out.
Thanks

Flockman, the Pilgrim answer is what I was hoping for. I raised Pilgrim geese back in the 80's & 90's and I just loved them. I purchased goslings from Pilgrim Goose Hatchery and I just don't remember them having the white on them that the Pilgrim geese do now. I will have to find my pictures of them. With that said, 8GeeseALaying you are probably right. Thank you Miss Lydia, they really are pretty and have a unique personality.
